The Orange Day wasn't first all about things that Thomas Francis does
or is. It originally started from a Kingdom Hearts walkthrough that Thomas' love for programming begun. But then,
he never considered it as programming, just another way of escaping to where ever on his computer.
As things progressed, he thought he should move up in the world, and begin learning
more HTML, and actually make a website. While the website was in progress, he bought a PSP, then found himself in
the wonderful world of "Homebrew." That's where he learned his first (almost real) programming language, Lua. Also,
in the course of all of that, he was learning how to use Photoshop to create art of epic proportions.
One fine school-day morning, when using the computer, one of Thomas' friends came up
to him and told him to go to this website--JibJab.com. After watching animated parodies and jokes on that,
Thomas came to find out what goes into making those, Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash). He then made it a task
or even a goal to be an Animator, not to mention the preknown love for Disney films and Anime (some of Thomas'
favorites as a child growing up are Dragon Ball Z, and Yu Yu Hakusho, and for Disney, it was Aladdin).
Then comes the discovery of Newgrounds, atleast the passion and appreciation for it.
Thomas had originally found this website from another friend of his, this was even before the KH walkthrough. Early
morning he and his brother would get on NG and play SIM games (Not exactly the ones that are "E - for Everyone").
Now, after the re-discovery of NG, Thomas immediately had a passion for Flash and it's 'scripting,' also know as
Actionscript.
Following those events, Thomas has continued to follow his life goal of becoming an
Animator, and practicing his programming skills. Later in this timeframe, Thomas has written numerous papers on the
subject of Traditional Animation, and has even purchased a 'peg bar' and 'ACME animation paper.'
